Spring Forward

For us, spring is all about renewal, and we are looking forward to another fresh and fabulous year of athome. We’ve been inspired to make some changes in 2013, with a broader mix of homes and gardens, more articles, and a lot of extras on our website. We can’t wait to show you all the new things in store.
In this issue, we’ve got two gorgeous but distinctly different gardens that will please naturalists and structure-lovers alike, and an elegant coastal home in Darien designed by A-List finalist Julie Nightingale.
Speaking of the A-List, the deadline for entries for 2013 is May 1. You’ve got just two months left to enter your best projects at athomefc.com. If you heard anything about last year’s ceremony, you know this is a can’t-miss event. The A-List is your chance for major exposure, and an opportunity for some serious networking. (Oh, and you might find yourself face to face with our celebrity judges if you’re lucky.) Have questions? Need a pep talk? E-mail me at amyv@mofflymedia. Then show our panel of judges what you’ve got! We’ve added a few new industry standouts for 2013 to keep things fresh. Let us introduce you to them (plus returning emcee Eric Cohler) on page 84.
And after you’ve finished reading this issue, we want your opinion. We’re publishing our first ever Best of Design issue in July/August—and we need your votes! Check out page 82 for more info, and then go to athomefc.com to vote on your favorites in design and décor—from who has the best bedding and antique furniture, to the best florist and most popular shop owner. Voting ends May 1 (just in time to pick up our next issue).
