“The room is very simple,” Kathy says. “There’s a deliberateness about the architecture.” With two large openings and symmetrical windows, Kathy was ready to turn this blank canvas into a masterpiece.

By placing two sofas facing each other, Kathy made a commitment to creating a conversation space around the fireplace.

“With the addition of these black and white chairs, you’ve got so many neutrals in this room,” Kathy says. A neutral base is means you can add lots of contrast and interest with pops of color and memorable accessories.
