Calling all design-lovers: There’s only one week left to visit the 2014 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in New York City. The forty-second annual event benefits the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, and these rooms never disappoint. For the first time, leading decorators including Alexa Hampton, Vicente Wolf, and Christopher Peacock, transformed rooms at the iconic Mansion on Madison, a gilded-era building in the heart of Manhattan’s most luxurious shopping district (which means your post-Show House plans are a no-brainer). We also recommend you check out the final Salon Night on Tuesday, May 27 at 6pm. In “The Villard Houses: Formidable Icons of Midtown Manhattan,” decorative arts and design expert Derek Ostergard will present an exploration of the 2014 Show House. But if you can’t make it on Tuesday, just make sure you get there before the show closes on Thursday, May 29! Tickets are $35. More information, including opening hours, on kipsbaydecoratorshowhouse.org.
