Carriage Barn Arts Center

About the Museum:
Built on the former Waveny Estate in New Canaan, the Carriage Barn Arts Center looks to "promote greater participation across the visual and performing arts" as well as providing and strengthening cultural ties within the community.

Housatonic Museum of Art

About the Museum:
The Housatonic Museum of Art boasts works by significant artists such as Rodin, Picasso, Matisse, Miro and others. There are also opportunities to take part in lectures and other programs that are sponsored by the museum.

Ten female artists will look at the French story “The Grandmother’s Tale” (later retitled “Little Red Riding Hood”) in a fashion that inspires creativity by expressing it through subjects including “memory, mapping, beauty, naure, pleasure, loss, pain, absence and presence, poetry scripture and spirituality”.

Silvermine Arts Center

About the Museum:
The Silvermine Arts Center is made up of a Guild of over 300 profession artists. The center presents new exhibitions every six weeks and also has a School of Art that provides art instruction for every level and age group.
 
The Answer is Risom
This exhibition will numerous furniture designs from Jens Risom, a designer who was counted as one who was responsible for“shaping postwar design”.

This event, which takes place each year in the spring and fall, will highlight the works of five new Guild Artist members who were inducted in the spring and fall of 2013

Selections from the Gabor Peterdi International Print Collection
This print collection named for Gabor Peterdi  will feature prints from a range of artists including Fritz Brosius, Alexander Calder, James Flora, Charles Hinman, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, a print attributed to Salvador Dali, and a variety of other selections.

UConn Stamford Art Gallery

About the Gallery:
Located in downtown Stamford, the UConn Stamford Art Gallery has exhibitions with new and established artists and looks to bring an emphasis “on the works and themes of traditionally underrepresented groups” in addition to a diverse group of other artistic artists, art works and artistic perceptions.
