Kitchen Kings

Chuck Wheelock and Mark Maidique know their way around a kitchen. Specializing in individualized, personality-packed kitchen design and cabinetry, this duo is ready to make an impact in the Fairfield County area from their new studio in Greenwich, called Wheelock Maidique. The bright space is at once sleek and inviting, and showcases their skills better than any résumé ever could. Seating areas and mock dining rooms show off the designers’ versatility, and pops of color, like graphic wallpaper and a bold rug, add a fresh touch—but the real treats are the two kitchens. In fact, most people say that it was a backsplash of antiqued glass tile, shining through the front windows, which drew them in off the street for a closer look. With kitchens that look this hot, we suspect you’ll want to get cooking designing one for yourself. 232 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich, 203-527-0020, wheelockmaidique.com
